- Conditional or dynamic assignment - users are assigned at the workflow start or their selection is based on conditions.
- Select a step
- Go to the Assignee selection dropdown.
- Select the assignee.

How does step assignment work?
Steps are normally assigned at workflow creation. You can assign steps to teams or specific users. This assignment can be overridden in one of the following ways:
- Manual assignment by authorized users
- Out of Office (OOO) delegations
- Role changes (for example, assigning a tech lead role)
- System-level permissions
- Automated delegation
Note that Automated delegation ignores the Out of Office settings.
