# Create document from HTML text

> Add custom HTML text and generate a document with a link you can use in Next Matter.

1. In your workflow editor, click **+ Add step**.
2. Select **Integrations > Quick action**.
3. Click **Configure**.
4. Select the **Generate Document from Custom Text** operation.
5. Add the text as data reference or enter it manually.
6. Enter the title for the file (it will be used as H1) and the file name.
7. (Optional) Provide a URL of the DOCX template to be used as the template for the generated file.

   We'll create a URL for the file. Note that you'll need Next Matter access to access the link.
